| Description: | Our Safe Haven program addresses the long-term housing and service needs of women who are chronically homeless and mentally ill, but are not yet ready to look at permanent housing and/or treatment. Women are served with intensive outreach and engagement interventions, case management and medical services, education services and psychiatric consultation in a 24-hour true living space that is clean, safe and supportive. Professionally skilled staff work to engage women and offer services that, over time, result in stable housing and improve their quality of life.
In our Patty Crowley Apartments we provide supportive housing for women who have been homeless. All tenants at the Patty Crowley Apartments have been diagnosed with a disability. Tenants sign leases and pay 30% of their income as rent. Case management, support groups, art therapy and educational and employment services are available to tenants on-site.
This intern position is responsible for providing the following services within these settings:

| Duties: | Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
� Provide individual support to the participants, tenants, and residents of the Patty Crowley Apartments and Dolores� Safe Haven
� Building community throughout the 1530/32 buildings
� Create a tenant leadership program incorporating research into practice
� Complete regular chart reviews, ensuring accuracy and audit readiness
� Make appropriate referrals for services based on participant goals and needs and provide necessary resources
� Assist participants in prioritizing goals & planning process of achieving goals
� Maintain relevant paperwork systems including intake summaries, session notes, service statistics, etc.
� Build relationships and engage participants in services/activities
� Enhance knowledge of Recovery Model and Harm Reduction
� Participate in weekly supervision meetings, bi-monthly staff meetings, and on-site training and staff development opportunities on a consistent basis
� Create/Develop and facilitate a group/activity, and/or facilitate an existing group/activity for the participants, residents, and tenants of Deborah�s Place.
� If available, participate in weekly or twice-monthly �Clinical Rounds� meetings.
