Description:Help in creating and scheduling groups, activities, meetings for the tenants of 1456 as well as learning center participants. Help with the coordination of volunteers at 1456, as well as the coordination of people volunteering to do groups and activities at 1456. Assist in planning and creating trainings for staff and interns on clinical topics.
Duties:� Assist the Program Coordinator in creating and scheduling groups for 1456

� Assist the program coordinator in creating and facilitating trainings at 1456

� Facilitate groups and activities at 1456 and in the Learning Center

� Assist the volunteer coordinator in scheduling and working with groups who want to provide activities at or outside Marah�s

� Assist in helping maintain and further community meetings, spaces, and environment at Marah�s.

� Enter stats into HMIS for the program, including activity sheets and program notes

� Assist in new move in process as well as move out process for tenants by readying move in/welcome baskets and packets as well as exit baskets and packets.

� Provide support, encouragement, and objective feedback to participants.

� Work as a team member with Marah�s Housing staff as well as Marah�s Learning Center Staff to ensure quality services are being provided to assigned participants

� Staff the Marah�s Program and the Learning Center when necessary

� Participate in weekly individual supervision and weekly group supervision (Clinical Rounds, Clinical Roundtable)

� Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:Interest in working one-on-one with participants, and serving as a non-judgmental advocate in multiple facets of participants' lives. Ability to engage with, and build rapport with participants. Ability to demonstrate empathy. Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to utilize a person-centered approach, and a strengths-based perspective. Ability to work in a team environment as well as being able to handle tasks independently.

All Interns are expected to follow and abide by the ethical standards of social work practice outlined by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the American Counseling Association (ACA). In addition, Interns are expected to abide by the policies of Deborah's Place including, but not limited to: rules governing confidentiality, dual relationships, honesty, and integrity.
